Unexplained Behaviors Explained? (7)

By Dr. Michael Brooks

This week, we will continue this series on the colorcode with the color blue. Hopefully, you’re starting to see how the colorcode works, each color has it’s pros and cons, and once we get through this series, you’ll understand peoples motives and why they do the things they do, in a good way or bad. I think Taylor Hartman is spot on with the way he sees people. I have used the colorcode when dealing with my clients and their needs. If you want a better marriage, the colorcode will open doors to better communication. If you are having issues at work with a co-worker or boss/management, the colorcode will open doors of understanding. If you hire or lay people off, the colorcode will give you the necessary tools for a better work environment, and better employee hires for the company.

Blues, no doubt, are self-disciplined. They get things done and make a plan to and stick to it.

As we continue with the pros and cons for the blues, pay attention to how blues impact personal and business relationships. The deeper we get into the blues and the colorcode, you’ll soon discover the importance of knowing why healthy blues are essential to have in your life.

Blues, no doubt, are self-disciplined. They get things done and make a plan and stick to it. They love projects, and this will bring out the best in them. I have worked with blues who loved the challenge and made things happen. I didn’t worry one bit; they were dependable. You can count on a healthy blue to get the job done.

One of the negatives about blues is they lean towards being guilt-prone and worry. They worry about everything. It can bog them down at times. In their personal lives, they worry about things that are out of their control. They worry about the kids at school, they worry about the traffic, they worry about their jobs. They are extremely hard on themselves. Most of the things they worry about never happen. It’s a waste of valuable energy, in my humble opinion.

Blues think of others before they think of themselves, they love putting others before themselves, and this brings them great pleasure. They enjoy helping others in need. When blues care about you, they will go the extra mile to make things happen. I have seen very healthy marriages where the wife was a blue and loved serving her family. She was happy to enrich her husband and her kid’s lives. Blue’s are notorious givers of their time and money.

Blues can be self-righteous and insecure at times. One thing you can count on, blues have strong personalities. They are not shy when stating their opinions with others. If they feel safe around you, they will share their deep feelings and ideas. They will, at times, set unrealistic goals, and this causes them to feel guilty caused by their attitudes and unmet expectations.

Next week, we will continue the series on the colorcode.

The Colorcode designed by Taylor Hartman is Unlike other personality tests, The Color Code not only identifies what you do but why you do it, allowing you to gain much deeper and more useful insights into what makes you and those around you tick. Each of the four colors: Red, Blue, Yellow, and White, stands for a collection of traits, strengths, and limitations. You can have one dominant color with traces of the three other colors in your colorcode personality. If you would like to take the free colorcode test and see what your primary color is, you can do so by going to colorcode.com click on the free test, once you take it, read what color your primary color is. The book is “The People Code” by Taylor Hartman, a great read and really gets into how the colors interact with each other. I highly recommend that you get this book.

When Your Anger Controls You! (4) By Dr. Michael Brooks

When Your Anger Controls You! (4) By Dr. Michael Brooks Here are a few of my helpful tips when dealing with your anger or with someone that you know. We all face being angry at times, and these tips will help guide you through the minefields of your personal anger or those you know who have anger issues. Taste it before you say it; if you think your words are going to be insulting, mean, nasty, and you’ll be sorry for saying something you ought not, then don’t say it. Stop right there and say nothing, take some time to cool down. Walk away and give yourself some time to figure out what happened and why it did. Give others the benefit of the doubt, don’t assume someone has it out for you. To continue reading this article go to the following link below:

When Your Anger Controls You! (3) By Dr. Michael Brooks

When Your Anger Controls You! (3) By Dr. Michael Brooks Are you struggling with anger issues? Today Dr. Mike will cover different kinds of anger that people face. A question for Dr. Mike, are there different kinds of anger? Yes, to answer your question: several experts have published contradicting lists of anger types, but some widely accepted forms of anger include: The common one that I deal with is Judgmental anger. These people are the people who judge, act as a jury, then become the executioner, and are extremely opinionated. Once they have judged you, seldom do they admit they could be wrong about the person they are judging. To continue reading this article go to the following link below:

When Your Anger Controls You! (1) By Dr. Michael Brooks

When Your Anger Controls You! (1) By Dr. Michael Brooks Over the years, I have known several people, including some friends of mine, that have serious anger issues. I’ve never been an angry person, nor has anybody in my family growing up! I was wondering how even to start this article today with so many people angry with the COVID-19 pandemic and with the civil unrest in our country. People are angry if you don’t wear a mask, people are upset if you do wear a mask. We have a lot of angry people walking around our streets, in stores, in homes. I am seeing angry people everywhere, where I go grocery shopping, at the parks that I walk at, people, in general, are angry and upset… To continue reading this article, go to the following link below:

Living in Fear (2) By Dr. Michael Brooks

Living in Fear (2) By Dr. Michael Brooks Continuing this week on “Living in Fear,” we’ll learn how to start dealing with the fears that hold you back. And how I overcame my fears with some simple steps and moved forward with my life.I remember when my older brother had moved to Minneapolis from Chicago when I was eleven years old. I hadn’t seen him for several months after his move. I saw him sitting on the couch when I came home after school, talking with my dad. I was too shy to go over and say Hi to him. My dad said Mikey, come over here and say hi to your brother. That’s how shy I was, and I would embarrass very easily as a kid. Something inside of me told me I’d better start getting over my fear of shyness and meeting new people. I decided that I would try to make some new friends in our neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago.I loved sports and did OK when we had pick-up baseball games in our city park. Most of the time, I would be the last one picked to be on a team because I didn’t really know anybody…. To continue reading this story go to the following link below:
